David Shervashidze, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture visited mineral water producing plant  ”Chargali Springs” in Chargali. The plant which is equipped with modern technology produces different kinds of lemonades and spring waters made with natural flavorings. 21 people living in Chargali are employed in the plant. The plant is going to be expanded and about 30 people are going to be employed.

The administration of “Chargali Springs” decided to build a Balneological resort for the optimal use and consumption of healing waters. It will attract tourist and support the development of the region.  Today First Deputy Minister also visited the trout fishery of LTD ISG in the village Shuapkho. Various species of trout are being bred in the farm. David Shervashidze said that it was very important to promote such ventures, especially in the mountainous areas.  It creates working places. People are employed and their income grows. It also supports the development of fisheries in Georgia.

Much attention is paid to the breeding of Georgian trout (” Aragvis “). According to the fishery management trout are going to be put in the river Aragvi in the future. It will contribute the growth of fish in the river.

6 locals are employed in the fishery. The capacity of trout production is 50 tons per year.

The company introduced new systems and technologies and even in harsh natural conditions it will be possible to create similar types of fisheries. Ltd ISG – Giorgi Lomidze, who is the founder of the fishery, said that this year the company plans to build similar types of trout fisheries in different parts of mountainous regions
